I’m Still Standing
You’ve probably been wondering what has happened to me since it’s been a while since I have posted anything. I’m still here and I have plans to write a post.
I haven’t even been posting Picture of the Week! It’s not that I haven’t been taking any pictures because I have been taking plenty, but I haven’t taken any that I have thought were Picture of the Week material. I’m going out today to take some engagement pictures so hopefully I will return with something I want to post here.
FYI: For those of you who are not of the music persuasion. The title is a reference to an Elton John song.
If you are fortunate enough to be going to the Elton John/Billy Joel concert let me know how that was. That would be a great concert.
Splish Splash
You know it’s going to be a bad day when, before you’re even fully awake, you’ve had to stick your hand in the toilet.
The other night I got up to go to the bathroom. I didn’t have my glasses on or contacts in which means I’m nearly blind. However, I noticed something white on the floor. I figured it was a stray piece of toilet paper. I picked it up and chucked it in the toilet. Then I heard somewhat of a substantial splash.
That’s when I realized I had just disposed of one of Brooke’s socks. Ugh.
Aren’t toddlers supposed to be the ones putting things in the toilet that don’t belong?
Stuck
One of Brooke’s favorite words to say is “stuck.” Dallas and I have been amazed at how often that word comes up in her vocabulary. Maybe we shouldn’t be so surprised. After all, she is constantly getting herself into predicaments such as this:
Here she is stuck between the piano and the piano bench.
She’s also sporting three of her favorite things–
- the tutu Grandma Allen gave her
- the squirt bottle that I use to do her hair (which she uses as a drink and which we obviously hadn’t used yet the day this picture was taken)
and
- a stuffed bear–she always has to be near one of her stuffed bears
Sugar and Spice
We found out that we are expecting another girl!
We are committed to making the world a better place–two pigtails at a time.
