Abracadabra
The Scene: I am outside with Brooke. She’s drawing with a piece of chalk about the size of a marble.
Me:Â “Brooke, let’s go inside now.”
Brooke: “Wait, Mom. First I’m making this chalk disappear.”
I wait.
I wait some more.
Minutes pass. Brooke continues doodling.
Finally the chalk runs out.
Me: “Okay. Let’s go inside.”
Brooke stands up and dusts herself off. As she walks inside I hear her say to herself in a tone of wonder and amazement, “Wow. I’m a magician!”

It is like she is magic making Ice disappear on a hot sidewalk.
I think you have a budding Lance Burton there….

She’s got some tough competition with her cousins. I seem to remember a certain show put on by Natalie when she was about Brooke’s age. I’m eager to see a video of Brooke’s magic show.
