Scary! I hate those kind of locks. I’ve tried many methods as well and have tried to coach my kids to unlock it but that takes just as long as removing the door knob. Glad everything turned out okay!

Oh my goodness. My heart was racing reading this post. I was hoping for an after picture of the scene you walked in on. Yikes.

Also, as I was wrestling Eli yesterday during a diaper change I couldn’t help but think of your octopus post and wish I had an extra pair of hands with just my one kid. I can’t imagine all the hands I’d wish for with three little rascals!

Laurie–Yeah, I kept telling Caroline to unlock the door, and she kept answering me with a happy, “Okay!”…but then never did it. Grrr.

Sarah–Caroline and Spencer were remarkably calm during the whole fiasco. Spencer started crying for a few minutes shortly after he got locked in, but then became happy. Caroline got a little scared toward the end, but all in all, I was surprised that they weren’t both in hysterics by the end of the ordeal.

You poor thing. 🙂 It’s amazing what they can do to us.

Am I the only one that totally cracked up laughing at this post. It made my morning and I am glad everything turned out well.

    Such a sweet big sister.

I talked to you in the middle of your ordeal and I thought you sounded very calm despite what you were experiencing. And you were even seemingly unruffled when I got to your house. Way to remain calm under duress. The picture of the doting older sister is so adorable. Be happy she cares so much about the little guy and don’t even try to figure out what would possess her to lock herself in the bathroom with him. She probably just wanted him all to herself.
