ew. I thought I could handle the placenta link, but that was a little too much. Was that a fried placenta?!? You really could not have had Caroline on a more perfect day. And let me just let everyone know you called me from the delivery room just as chipper as ever, and if I didn’t know, I wouldn’t have been able to guess you just gave birth. It’s stories like this one that make me think maybe I really can do it.

I’ve been waiting for this post! Glad things went so well. Caroline is a doll. And as far as your link goes… sick.

Way to go giving wonderful Grandpa credit for his middle-of-the-night movie-watching with Brooke. I also thought he was wonderful to entertain her so I could get a little more sleep.

But, I notice no mention of giving this Grandma credit for keeping track of that little girl all through a very busy day–the very day, I will remind you, that I told you destinctly to NOT have the baby!–despite all the commotion going on and all the people coming and going throughout the day. And, how sad it is that Brooke now wants nothing to do with me because of your abandonment of her. My guess is that she will still love interacting with her Grandpa even though he was the one you intially left her with, probably because she knows he will still make her popcorn.

Wonder when the poor girl will overcome her separation anxiety when I’m around. Loved how she wouldn’t look at me or come near me and had to always have you right by her when I was there visiting the other day. And could you please get her to say “grasshopper” on video. It was SOOOOO adorable!! Love ya and I am so glad you had a much easier go of it this delivery. Even though I’d already heard the story, it was fun to read all about it–although I could have lived without the repeat of the placenta photo and recipes. YUCK!!!!!

Love the pics of Caroline!!! So glad to hear that L&D went smoothly. Since having heard tons of L&D stories (oh the horrors!), I’m glad that yours went well. 🙂

P.S. I can’t believe they really have placenta recipes! Eww…we definitely will not be having lasagna, spaghetti, stew, or roast anytime soon now that it will remind me of your link!
